Ron earned his bachelor's degree in Marketing, through a non-residency program by taking courses at colleges and universities local to his military duty station, or through correspondence courses at accredited colleges. Regents college of Albany New York sponsored the non-residency program and awarded the degree. Ron earned his degree about one year before retiring from his Navy career.

It was done with lots of love and many tears."
