Letter of Referral for Alphonse (Ildephonse) Charest
This is the first typewritten letter found in the collection of papers for Ildephonse Charest. The use of "Alphonse" is an anglicized spelling of "Ildephonse." Given this letter is from "Hotel Canada," the anglicized name suggests Ildephonse was working in a hotel outside Quebec, in the English-speaking region of Canada. Alternatively, "Hotel Canada" may have been part of a resort complex in upstate New York.
