At the time, National University was one of the only colleges in the United States focused on non-traditional adult-focused college education. |

Several years after receiving his degree, Regents College changed it's name to Excelsior College. Ron earned his bachelor's degree in Marketing, through a non-residency program by taking courses at colleges and universities local to his military duty station, or through correspondence courses at accredited colleges. Regents college of Albany New York sponsored the non-residency program and awarded the degree. Ron earned his degree about one year before retiring from his Navy career. |

| Confirmation Flyer for Ronald Charest Confirmation flyer from St Luke's Lutheran Church, Farmingdale, Long Island, for the confirmation service that included Ronald Charest. St. Luke's Lutheran Church was the family church during the time they lived in Farmingdale. Armand (father) was Catholic and typically went to early Catholic service less than one mile away from St Luke's, then met the rest of the family for service at St Luke's. St Luke's also provided children's Sunday School classes and all the Charest children attended Sunday School prior to church service each Sunday. 2 May 1971 |
