Notes - Adrian and Armand Charest were close childhood friends, and the two served in sister companies in the US Army during WWII in Pacific campaigns. In Armand Charest's memoirs, he talks at one point about desperately searching for Adrian after a combat engagement with Japanese forces, in which Adrian's company was decimated.
